Although we haven’t seen each for many years since we moved away we’ve always kept in touch. We both have fond memories of Paul and Susan at both our weddings and parties we had together with lots of fun and laughter that we’ll always remember. Our thoughts are with Susan and all her family at this difficult time.

Thoughts
As youngsters at the weekends the families would always meet up at Grandma's house in Caverswall 2up, 2down so not very big and always crowded. The Dads would often go off to Knock 'm Down (Auctioneers pub) for a drink and we would follow hoping to get something , usually a bag of crisps and pop with a straw. " Happy days"

Paul was such a good caring man know him all my like our family had so much respect for Paul.
I will never forget when we lost our Dad and Mum. Paul came to see us and said some lovely kinds words.
Our thought go out to his wife and all the family at this very sad time. BLESS.

Me and our Clifford used to be a couple of sods in our youth and used to end up scrapping with some other lads outside the Royal night club.Paul would come along and say sod off home you two because if I lock you up your mum will kill me as he always called to see mum and dad for a brew. Also my son died at 8 weeks old years later and Paul was there as he was on duty.You could have not have wished for a more compassionate man in such a bad time and made a friend for life. RIP owd mucker. And condolences to the wife and family as it must be hard for you all

Known Paul all my life. He was the Bobby at Waterfoot he often called in at mum and dad's for a brew.
Such a kind and pleasant man.
Good copper even the valley crims had a lot of respect for him. Sleep well Paul.
